Summer Soiree

Every August our town celebrates its birthday, and it’s quite a big to-do.

There’s a band, a huge birthday cake, and fireworks at the end of the evening.

People bring blankets and chairs and spread out on the lawn.  Or you can rent a table,
which is what we usually do.

And, every year I look forward to decorating our table.

I picked orange and fuchsia for this year’s color scheme.

The centerpiece is made up of tissue paper flowers.
And, all the other items came from Target, Party City, or Michael’s.

Most of the children in our area are back in school now, so this event is kind of
summer’s last hoorah.

Hope you’re enjoying the rest of your summer!

Cheers!
