I’m delighted to say that my Oak leaf Hydrangea (Hydrangea quercifolia) is in full bloom, and it smells wonderful!

Happy weekend, and Happy Mother’s Day!

Oak Leaf Hydrangea

My beloved Annabelle Hydrangeas are blooming!   They’re mixed in among the azaleas – something I’ll remedy in the fall.  The blue/pink mopheads should be blooming soon!

It’s been a very Spring-y morning at my house!

We dyed Easter eggs.

A few of the eggs met an unfortunate end, so we picked roses to fill in the empty spots in the egg carton.

And, we’ve started our container gardening.

There’s still  lots more to do, but I’ll save that for tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend.

Like just about everyone, I’ve become addicted to Pinterest.  I find so much inspiration there for home decorating, crafts, sewing, gardening, and party planning.

One of my future (very future) projects is to update my master bath.

I found this gorgeous picture on Pinterest and fell in love.   It was designed by Jane Schwab, owner of Circa Interiors.

The design combines three of my favorite things  – white marble, silver accents (especially sterling silver), and a dash of purple.

I have Spring Fever in a big way.  Temperatures here in Atlanta have been in the 70’s and 80’s, the azaleas and dogwoods are blooming, and we just got a new grill – woo hoo!

So, in honor of Spring, I’m posting a few green pics from my Pinterest board – I love green!

Such a soothing color….

I love Google’s doodles!  And, I especially like today’s creation.

First Day of Spring. Design by Marimekko.

It was designed by Finnish textiles and fashion company Marimekko.

I’ve been an admirer of their bright, modern designs for some time now and was delighted to see this doodle on the first day of Spring!

Happy Spring!

My little one will turn three soon, and I’m busily planning her birthday party.

Her first birthday was  pink and green themed with lots of flowers and sweets.

This year I’ve decided to go with a butterfly and bubbles theme.

She loves bubbles, so I bought a bubble machine to go on the back porch.

I’ve also found tons of butterfly decorations at craft stores.

Here are some of my inspirations from Pinterest.
